Save Money & Memories with Travel Notebooks and Trip Planners!

I’m a list-maker. Are you? Whenever we travel, I always take a notebook along to record trip memories and notes for the future. I keep track of hotels we stayed at and what we liked or didn’t like. I also record places we visited, as well as places we passed along the way. After all, you can’t see Everything in one trip! I jot down things we forgot to bring and things we could have left at home. One notebook will hold the recollections of a number of trips, and it’s always fun to look back on what I wrote months or even years later.

I also love organizing so I fell in love with the Planners we carry in our Zazzle store. The pages are blank, so I can add whatever date I want. This allows me to plan ideas for where we’ll go each day – a Must for someone who love organizing, and a great way to get the most out of every vacation. When we went to California recently, I knew we had a limited time and so I spent weeks beforehand, planning the best spots to visit. I think I did pretty good – I wanted to see the ocean and spend as much time as possible at the beach, and we needed places where our dog was allowed to be with us. Like the notebooks, planners can be used for multiple trips, over a period of months or years. So that makes them pretty economical. And our designs make them unique! They could also double as a way to keep track of research about the trip, or to note important pre-trip prep dates like when to have the mail stopped or get a car rented. Speaking of notebooks, here’s an idea for the kids: Get each child their own notebook or planner for trip notes. Not only does it encourage writing and observation skills, but they’ll have great notes for those beginning of the school year essays, “how I spent my summer vacation”! You can even customize the notebooks with each child’s name and the dates if you’d like!
